Inspiration Avenue is a great venue for artists who loves to make art based from prompts, challenges or themes. This week’s theme is Summer Sun.
After a week of typhoons and officially entering into the rainy season, I miss the summer sun when I can just go out for a walk and meet some people, feel the warmth of the sun on my pale skin and sit near the bay just to watch the sunset.
We have been experiencing rain for almost a week, thanks to the typhoon named Falcon. It brought us strong rain and gust of wind causing floods everywhere, small tornado in some places and leaving a lot of people homeless and missing. It’s a sad state whenever nature suddenly strikes. It leaves us powerless that we can only pray.
While the rain pours, I have been busy with my Sketchbook Project. And since it’s Friday, it’s a perfect time to share these with the Paint Party Friday artists and everyone!
I created this art without any thinking and this is what I have produced. I realized that this is not something that people can understand therefore I am still proud knowing that I don’t have to please everyone.
Reading comics can be relieving especially when it comes to my favorites. I love to draw them! What’s yours?
Since it’s raining, I find all sorts of inspiring words and had a beautiful rain thought: If it’s raining with words and wisdom, we wouldn’t need an umbrella.
A lot of firsts wouldn’t happen if we don’t make that first move, take the first step or make a decision. I have always love the quote, As we grow older, it’s not the things we did that we often regret, but the things we didn’t do. It might be scary at first but it will always be either a rewarding experience or a rewarding lesson for us.
Jose Rizal is our national hero. His deeds and accomplishments are something we all Filipinos are proud of. I am truly thankful. I hope we will cherish the lessons and inspirations he has shared to us through his life.
Note: His birthday is on June 19. The monument is at Luneta or also called Rizal Park.

I am participating in Inspiration Avenue and their theme for this week is So Romantic. What is romance to you?
What comes to my mind about romance is something very endearing to me. I thought of old couple holding hands while walking or just simply sitting down. Growing Old with You song immediately flashes in my mind. I am a sucker for old couples in love. I might even cry.
I love roses simply because it spells love. It’s very romantic. It symbolizes love in its true form because like a rose, love can hurt but it will always bring us back to love.
Red wine, though it’s not my type of drink because in my opinion it tastes bad, provokes a kind of romantic ambiance. It’s classy and I can imagine that we could just talk all night while sipping from our glasses.
I heart letters. I love poems and sweet personal notes handwritten with a twist of art. Letters are the second best type of communication you can have with anyone. Sometimes you can express yourselves more freely than talking.
Where there is love there should be romance. Don’t ever hesitate to show someone how much we love them.
