July 26: What Painting Means to Me

Untitled 11 July 26: What Painting Means to Me

Envelope design for Kissinia. Flower painting in acrylics. Trying a new medium opens doors to new adventures!

I asked what she wants me to paint or draw for her but she told me she is easy to please.
So I painted a beach scene in watercolor.

Painting brings back so much happiness and life in me. The more I paint the more I feel alive. I realize that I am more effortless in my paintings now. I don’t feel as much intimidated by it. I don’t try to control it like the way I used to. Create a habit to paint often if not everyday. Most of all have lots of fun!

Painting is love. I am so glad and thankful to be reminded of that.

Tomorrow Friday will be the last day of my giveaway. If you haven’t joined it’s not too late!

Paint Party Friday!

  1. this has such a good feel to it…i like the dark colors, the grays, the foggy morning at the beach scene.
    HPPF!

  2. I just adore this watercolor. The mood is tranquil and I love, love the colors you chose! Happy PPF! #7 Robin Panzer Art Studio 33

  3. Love the way you painted the deep shadows and used neutral colors, it’s really striking and beautiful. Yes, painting every day does make a huge difference, doesn’t it?

  4. That’s lovely. It’s always fun to experiment with new materials. Though I’ve noticed I tend to water down my acrylics and use them a lot like watercolors :) I don’t use actual watercolors much, but I like the layers of colors I can build up with diluted acrylics

  5. Your love of painting shows in your work- it fabulous! You are so right about the daily habit of arting- it makes my soul happy too!

  6. I joined her mail swap too! Still haven’t finished with my envelope! It’s no wonder you feel happy when you paint- creativity is a connection to our Creator! He gave that gift to us! Patsy from HeARTworks and papemelroti
