I always have my devotion every night where I write my prayers in my journal and just tell the Lord about my day (even though He knows it already!) and read a chapter in the Bible.
Today I bring my old small Bible that contains only the New Testament including Psalms and Proverbs for my painting inspiration. I read Chapter 1 of Psalms and the verse 2-3 strikes me.
Many of us delve on self-help books and inspirational books for some food for thought. However the only book that could inspire us and lead us to God is the Holy Bible. His Words shall be our daily bread. All the things that we go through in life can be found in the Bible. It contains the richness of Jesus’ life and how He wants us to seek Him always in gratitude and in sorrow.
His Words shall be our armor and in His words we shall meditate. Like the tree in this painting we shall not wither.

Beautiful post! This is one of our favorite Psalms, and you expressed those verses so well visually. Your words remind me of John Piper’s “God is most glorified when we are most satisfied in Him.”
