How to Wait Meaningfully
Waiting for a lover. Waiting for a friend. Waiting for a call. Waiting for a prayer request. I could not count how many times I have waited. Sometimes I could only just sit and wait for something to happen. Sometimes I hope that God will listen to me right now and answer my prayers.
How do you wait?
Waiting is a test of patience. You never know when it will end. The agony of waiting is that, oftentimes it brings pessimism in the mind. Time is slow while everything seems to be moving ahead. While waiting, our mind should be filled with beautiful distractions that can somehow speed the time and make the waiting moments as if to happen now. Suddenly, my mind is shrouded with ideas, with dreams to achieve, and things to try. I cannot wait to stand up and seize that time. I don’t want to wait any longer.
Waiting for inspiration = Nothing
A motivational website—that’s our (my beau and I) sole purpose of creating a website in the first place. However, I am being “ambitious” because I thought of why not create a personal website that caters to my arts? That idea was a good one. But that idea was so last year. In fact it did not happen. You know why? I simply do nothing while waiting for inspiration to come so that I can start with my work. That moment did not come because I was just waiting.
To wait = To Act
“Waiting for what?” That question hit me. We can’t wait for forever. It says rightly in the Gospel of Matthew 7:7, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” I realize that if I know how to wait, I should know how to act. Despite my fear, my urge to work on my website is fearless. I worked very hard on Harmony Thoughts to come alive. I thank God and the people (my brother, my beau, my friends, loved ones, and inspiration from artists) who have helped me in this journey of working on one of my most challenging dreams. I started on February 1 2011 and finished on April 23 2011. It is truly in our actions that we can experience what lies beyond.
True Meaning of Waiting
The beauty in waiting is letting go and letting God. We submit our worries and problems to Him who listens. We do our part by toiling the ground and bringing hay home. God sees our resolve and He will surely give us what we deserve.
Happy Easter Sunday everyone! God bless us all!

I think we will always have those moments just waiting .. for nothing. But we should not fret or worry so much because we have a lot of work to do.
