Painting Day 6: One Day in Paradise

IMG 0038 1024x768 Painting Day 6: One Day in Paradise

I don’t have a particular subject in mind when I paint this today. All I know is that I love to paint trees. So I allow myself to paint this thin red tree.

I find myself getting good at painting sky washes. I remembered feeling intimidated whenever the thought of laying a wash is needed. I smiled now at how practice truly makes a work “perfect”. Above is a wash in pink and orange hues with a tiny tint of yellow.  I love how the colors just blend and become light to almost nothing.

The finished painting reminds me of my ideal place to be–Nature. I haven’t really been climbing mountains or going on an overnight nature outing. Someday I hope to be travelling to many places and appreciate the wonders of the world.

Inhale, Exhale

Whenever I am surrounded by nature, all I can do is to breathe in…breathe out. It’s like this is the only place where I can get a bountiful of fresh clean air. I inhale by expanding my diaphragm, stomach and rib cage. I don’t move my shoulders upward. Then I exhale with my mouth (fully) and sometimes my nose, feeling my rib cage contracts. Feels so refreshing. You should try it!

Also,  I am enlightened to try and challenge myself  on doing something starting next year. That thing will be revealed on January or as early as December. I am quite excited to share this with you and hope to keep at it.

Have a blessed day everyone.
